We try to make crafts and projects out of every day items, so when I found a box of ABC cookies at the Dollar Store, I snatched it up right away. We had a great time playing and talking about letters as we snacked on the cookies. Then we made some bookmarks out of the box. To make the bookmarks we just cut the cardboard cookie box, rounded the corners and then added an eyelet and tied in a ribbon. You could skip the eyelet and just punch a hole to tie the ribbon through if you’d like. If you had two boxes, you could make memory game cards too!
Next time you buy a box of yummy treats for a snack, think about what fun project you can make. You’ll be inspiring creativity, recycling and crafting all at once! I’d love to hear what you come up with.
