I received a Nomad Play paint brush for ipad to review and one to give to one of my readers. Keep reading to find out more.
If you have an iPad and a preschooler, you are going to love the Nomad Play paint brush. It’s an accessory to use with painting or drawing apps on your iPad that is designed specifically for little hands. There are hours of fun to be had being creative. There more fun for for mom when painting with this paint brush that doesn’t require water or a pile of paint!
The main body of the brush is made of wood and comes engraved with about the same thickness as a jumbo sized crayon so preschool hands can easily grasp and hold the brush. There are real bristles so using the brush feels very similar to painting on real paper but without the mess or the need to pull out all the supplies. We tried the Nomad Play paint brush with a ton of different apps on our iPad and found two that we loved the most for preschoolers, Paint Sparkles and Rainbow Fun Pro. You can find more great painting app suggestions on the Nomad Play website.

HI. My son loves to color. His favorite thing to draw is tornadoes! ha!
My two boys love painting! Especially my 20-month old-he wants to do everything his big brother is doing and can be quite creative!
Me and my 3 year old love painting our hands and making pictures with them. we paint our toes and fingers and paint everything. we paint what we see outside, we paint outerspace, we paint the dogs, we even paint each other some times. I love these simple moments with my kids. It means so much to me.
My 34 mos old twins LOVE to paint! Right now we strictly use paper and finger paint or water colors and brushes but they would love this brush as they use my iPad all the time :-)!!!!
My 6-year-old is quite the artist. I think it’s because I’ve had her reading comic books all her life, so she really got into drawing and art. It’s not just parental pride when I say she blows away most of the other kids at her grade level. My 2-year-old, who will be 3 next week, isn’t as much into making pictures as he is into making messes… but he works the iPad as well as I do, so this kind of thing would be right up his alley.
My son Jackson loves my iPad, sure he plays some of the games (like Angry Birds), but what has been amazing is his interest in using it to learn. We have apps on the iPad to promote memory, spelling and math. He’s almost 4 and can do simple Math, spelling & reading already.
Ironically, the one area we are missing is arts & crafts…he is not impressed with crayons since the introduction of the iPad to our house. so this tool would really be an amazing way to bring out his artistic side in a high tech way. Boy will they have a tough time getting him to do “art” at school in a more traditional manner 🙂
My little one LOVES to color on the iPad. The Crayola app is fun. He also loves the puzzle apps.
My son and I both love painting and any craft activity. We also love the iPad! He has 5x more apps than my husband and I do! He will have some competition when his newborn sister becomes mobile!
Hi,
I’m a preschool teacher at a developmental preschool. We were just given two IPads to use with our kiddos. I think my students would LOVE to use the paint brush to paint their masterpieces!!
Thanks,
Cara Brandon
